As of March 1, 2021, the new VDMA working group “Wireless Communication for Machines” constituted itself.
VDMA stands for the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association, the largest industry association in Europe. Scope of the AG WCM will be machine communication in the context of industrial production, with a strong focus in 5G and, particularly, 5G Campus networks.
Participation in the working group is a win-win situation for Focus Infocom and this industry sector. Focus Infocom will further expand its portfolio of service and solution offerings for fields with practical application of mobile communication technologies. Also, Focus Infocom can contribute to the overall evolution of practical know-how, by sharing its expertise on testing strategies and solutions, QoS and QoE including task-specific metrics e.g. for performance and SLA monitoring, and a rich portfolio of tools for these applications.
